I have been taking 1/2 teaspoon of the powered form 3 times a day. I think that translates to about 4.5 grams a day. Hard-ons started in about 2 weeks, especially morning wood. It must be taken on an empty stomach or only with carbs to be effective.
You get much more l-arginine in meat than any other source. Although almonds, yogurt, etc.
help, I am sure it would take a lot to add up to 6 oz. of pork. There is a chart in The Arginine Solution. Check it out at the library.

I got the quantity information from Arginine Solution.
Since it's food, eat until you don't want to eat anymore, and enjoy the variety. Why not start with a box of raisins (small box), a cup of almonds, one chocolate bar, a cup of yogurt, a cup of wheat germ, etc.
It's very simple, not rocket science.
Definitely read Arginine Solution. It will tell you have many grams of L-Arginine specified quantities of various foods have.

If I can only find powder/pills that contain L-Arginine and no L-Ornithine is this as good?
I mean, how important is the L-Ornithine?

I only take l-arginine. L-ornithine should only be taken on an empty stomach, apparently food interferes with absorbtion. I used to know what l-ornithine is suppose to do from my old "Life Extension" days. I think the body turns it into l-arginine and may be more potent (i.e., you can take half as much,) so it's cheaper. Both have some effect on growth hormone production. SM takes both, so perhaps he can enlighten us. But you can find it everywhere in combination with l-arginine.
